Hello, everyone!
I’ve been really quiet on this blog for quite some time. After having my baby girl, I was too exhausted to do anything but parent. Once I regained my energy (sort of) I realized that I wanted to take my writing in a different direction. I published a baby book with my friend, Sarah Eileen (you may know her from most of the bookish posts on this blog!), as the illustrator. You can find it here if you want to be so cool and grab a copy. We’re putting our second book, the ABC’s of Paris, together and that will come out, shortly!
Anyways, I digress as I often do.
I decided to take my writing in a different direction than the classic how to’s and what nots. I’ve always loved writing essays and opinion pieces, but besides my rantings on Medium, I didn’t have a proper outlet for them. Well, in comes Juniper and Daisies. This is where you’ll find all kinds of stories about everything. Some of them you’ll find are the same as what you have found on The LT Edit, as there are lots that I wanted to move over and keep. I’m trying to keep my writing as true to my heart as possible, bringing it back to what I love to do and not just what I HAVE to do. I will admit it is a little hard going from a blog that actually has some pretty decent views (but not to the pros out there) to one that is starting all over, fresh and new.
I won’t be posting on here at all, anymore, so please, if you like my style of writing, give my new blog a little check out. And, yes, that is my shameless beg for some followers and views. I’m working on the layout of the blog, still, as I tweak and pivot. I did that a lot here on The LT Edit and it took me a long while to find what was most appealing and worked. Leave a comment on my new stories if the layout is just…not feeling great.
