When September 1st hits, it’s fall y’all and plaid everything! The temperatures may be still soaring into the high 20s, but the start of September always makes me excited for fall. The air starts to feel crisp, apples are ready for picking (although, they were ready early August this year!), corn should be ready if no grasshoppers have eaten them, and pumpkins are turning orange. Usually, I ignore the pumpkins in the beginning of September and slowly transition my way into some lovely fall colours. This year, I’m bringing a little bit of the pumpkin vibe into September, but with pastels!
There’s something so light and airy about pastels. Putting out lightly coloured fall decor in early September feels like a nice connection between summer and fall. While I love a good plaid and rich, autumn colours, I’m falling (get it? hahaha…sorry) in love with these beautiful pastels.
