Y’all I found a Christmas game-changer: home-made Baileys frosting. And, it’s easy as can be!
What you’ll need:
– mixing bowl
– hand (or stand) mixer
– icing sugar
– butter
– Baileys
– measuring spoons
– measuring cups
– spatula
If you’re making cookies, start by making your favourite sugar cookie recipe, so that the cookies have cooled before you start icing them.

Soften one cup of butter.
Add in 2 1/2 cups of icing sugar, slowly, mixing on low as you go. Once the icing sugar is mixed in enough that you’re not sending sugar flying all over the kitchen, kick it up to medium speed. Your mixture will be chunky and kind of like oatmeal.
Add in 4-5 tablespoons of Baileys, or just pour and mix in until you get a creamy consistency, like I do with pretty much anything. If you need more to get it to the creamy consistency, add more! Add in a tablespoon at a time so you get the right creaminess without adding too little or too much.

Mix together until your icing is thick and fluffy.
Spread or pipe onto your cookies and enjoy!
FYI, the icing hasn’t been cooked, so the alcohol will still remain.
