March is here and pre-spring is in full swing! The beginning of March is the hardest part of winter for me (because it’s STILL winter!), so I focus a lot of self-care. I start to go a little stir-crazy, craving sunnier days and warmer evenings. This month, I’ve been keeping myself preoccupied with a lot of projects. Both in my home and in the blogging world! It felt nearly impossible to pull myself from a winter slump, but once the roads turned slushy and I had to put on my rubber boots, I felt excited and happy for what was to come.
Here’s my list of things I’ve been loving in March, including rubber boots:
Save the World
Plastic is out, bamboo is in. Eco-friendly toothbrushes are an easy switch to make and look your bathroom look so much cooler. Plus, you can easily order them from Amazon. I’ve tried the HelloBoo toothbrushes and am absolutely loving them thus far! Pro tip: if there is more than one of you in your household, order the coloured bristles so you can tell them apart. Some have numbers on the bottom, but unless you have a toothbrush holder where they float freely, you’ll never see the numbers. And, ew, no one wants to share a toothbrush.

Wearing
This time of year is all slush and sloppiness. Wearing a winter boot is too hot, and only a couple in my closet are completely waterproof. You can’t wear runners or anything that is made of canvas or the fun velvets out there (please don’t wear your velvet shoes before the snow melts!) Without absolutely ruining them.
So, I bought these bad boys and it is the best money I’ve ever spent. They’re cute enough to wear to the office and keep me nice and dry, allowing me to splash through puddles while everyone else side-steps the fun. For a more spring look, try for a fun rubber boot to get you where you need to go like the one above!

Yoga
These bad boys are so cute. I love Fabletics yoga pants and cannot have enough. Somehow, they always end up in the colour pink or florals. These soft looking pants are definitely on my list of wants.
Home Stuff
Big news: my kitchen is getting ready for some reno’s! And, by getting ready, I mean filling up Pinterest boards with ideas that are equal practical and impractical, like a live edge butcher’s block for an island that wouldn’t even fit in my kitchen.
While we make decisions on what we want (and have real discussions about what is feasible), we’ve added an update that I’m absolutely loving: some simple IKEA shelves.
These super cute hangers can be used for so many things, like hanging kitchen essentials, but we’re using them to hang adorable buckets of herbs and flowers. Nothing has sprouted yet, but the start of this organizational feature wall is looking pretty good!

CBC, you magnificent bastard, you’ve found a hilarious show that isn’t so over the top Canadian, anyone can enjoy. Plus, you can watch it on Netflix, now. Workin’ Moms is legit hilarious and you don’t even have to have kids or want kids to fall in a love/hate relationship with all of the characters.
