We’re in the middle of cold and flu season right now and that means we need to stay away from people and eat all the garlic. The first part isn’t doable, but the second? Damn, is that shit delicious. While garlic isn’t going to cure you if you need actual antibiotics, it helps with your immune system. I stuff my face with it on the regular, but up the intake when I feel a cold coming on, or if I’ve been around people with colds.
The easiest way? Delicious, delicious garlic spread. Instead of buying expensive tubs of the stuff (and adding more plastic into your life), make your own! It’s easy and way cheaper.
What you will need:
– garlic press
– a bowl
– a spoon
– 8 garlic cloves
– 1/2 cup of butter
– dash of garlic seasoning
Cream your butter until it’s soft and creamy. Using a garlic press, crush those cloves of garlic into the butter, mixing well.
Add a dash of garlic seasoning for some extra spice to your spread. Note: if you’re trying not to use much salt in your diet, leave this out as seasonings often are full of salt.
Mix well.
Spread onto toast, meat, potatoes, eat spoonfuls, whatever makes you happy.
Enjoy!
