Ah, January. Cold weather, fresh starts, new year’s resolutions, regrets from eating way too much chocolate and turkey. While December was a whirlwind of parties and celebrations, January is a time to reflect on changes that occurred, those you hope will occur, and time for a big helping of self-love. Here’s my round-up of things I’m already loving in January, gearing up to love, or loving from afar.
Home Stuff
This one can also be marked under ‘saving the planet’ because I’ve recently switched over to recycled toilet paper. I’ve used recycled toilet paper in the past (before being green was cool), but it was never that good and always cost so much. This stuff is sassy and 100% awesome. It’s weird to be excited about toilet paper, and yet, I am.
Saving the Planet
I’ve been trying to use less plastic in my life, but it’s hard to make the switch. I asked for these bad boys for Christmas and am loving them thus far! Goodbye, saran wrap.
Wearing
Another Christmas gift, these socks are incredibly comfy, warm and help the planet. They’re made with recycled polyester AND ten trees are planted with each purchase. Pretty cool.
Reading
While I always spend the holidays reading new and old romance novels, my friends and I have recently started a book club. Our first meeting? A book exchange for Christmas. Everyone gave a copy of one of their favouriets and I got this book in the exchange. This is something I’d never pick up myself, but it sounds really interesting and I’m excited to start reading it! Just after I finish one more romance…
