FabFitFun Winter Box 2018 Review

FabFitFun Winter Box 2018 Review!

My FabFitFun winter box FINALLY arrived and I was so freakin’ excited to get it from the post office. With Canada Post on yet another strike, postal services have been great or terrible with no in between. Luckily, the strike is over and my FabFitFun box arrived and I finally get to enjoy the goodies inside.

Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw
If you’ve ever been to my house, you know that blankets are a major part of my life and decor. Partly because we keep our house much colder in the winter months (see: saving the planet) and partly because being cozy is one of my favourite things. I got the natural/ivory and it’s pretty damn cute.

Bearpaw Combo Set
I love FabFitFun items that are practical. While I have many a mitten, glove, or toque, the super cute headband and gloves are a welcome addition to my winter drawer of warmth!

H Halston Jewelry Portfolio
Usually when I travel I put my jewelry in a satin bag or old Swarovski box and plop it into my carry-on. I wasn’t that excited for this item in the box when I made my choice, but now that it’s here (and I have two trips planned for next fall) I’m pretty jazzed to use it! It’s way more practical and lux than I had originally thought and looks like it’ll hold more than enough jewelry for any vacation.

Sherrie Matthews Acupuncture Jade Stone Roller
Oh.Em.Gee. I was so frickin’ excited for this one, I didn’t care about anything else in the box! I was worried because I had read on the Instagram comments that a lot of people’s rollers broke, but mine came fully in tact. Woo-hoo! I’ve already started using it and my skin feels so tingly and wonderful after use.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick
I usually love getting lipsticks in the boxes as it’s not something I usually purchase on my own. This one, however, came in another nude. I already have tons of nudes from FabFitFun and often they’re not the best shade for me. Disappointed in the colour, but will be handing off to my friend who can better hold the peachy undertones.

Way of Will Elevate Essential Oil Set
Um, yes please. I love essential oils and use them in all my skincare DIY crafting. Eucalyptus is my favourite go-to for cleaning or a little pick-me-up in the shower or bath and Sweet Orange just smells….so….good. I was super happy to find essential oils in my winter box!

Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener
So, for a lot of people, I’m sure getting another highlighter is quite disappointing. We have already received quite a few through the FabFitFun boxes. But, this one is so handy and fits into my purse! Plus, who doesn’t need more highlighter? My favourite part about receiving make-up is that I don’t have to buy anything but my bb cream and mascara.

Ahava Hydration Cream Mask
At first, I thought this mask was for your hair and I was instantly excited. But, after reading a little further than just ‘hydration mask’, I realized that it’s actually for your skin. Which does not work well with my oily/combination skin. I tried it on my hands at night, but it felt a little too weird and ‘mask’ like. I already knew going in that Ahava would be very moisturizing as their hand cream that we received in an earlier box is out of this world moisturizing. Looks like another item heading my friend’s way!

Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask with Hyaluronic Acid
I love eye masks. They’re my favourite type of mask and I love trying new kinds. These are pretty wonderful, as pretty much ever hydrogel eye mask is, and made my eyes feel soft and pampered.

Over-all impression? Pretty decent box. While there are two items that I won’t be using, I’m gifting them to a friend, which is perfectly fine by me. I figured I got my money’s worth just with the blanket and the jade roller; adding in all the other goodies just made it all the more sweeter!
