Reese’s Pieces Cookies

Unless it’s in a sandwich or a satay sauce, I don’t really like peanut butter. My fiance, on the other hand, can eat as many peanut butter cookies that his stomach will allow. Making the same old cookies gets boring, so these Reese’s Pieces cookies jazz up an old favourite.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1/4 packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • One package of Reese’s Pieces Chips

Preheat oven to 350.

Cream the butter (I always like to use salted butter instead of margarine when cooking, but substitute for whatever your on-hand regular is) and add in the sugars, mixing well. Mix in the egg and vanilla until a semi-smooth texture. Add in the baking soda and flour, mixing until forming a soft cookie dough. Throw in the chips and you’re ready to bake.

Form medium balls of cookie dough and place onto a cookie sheet, pressing down slightly on each ball. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until tops are slightly golden brown.
